Provides administrative support within legal department under limited supervision. Skills require strong PC and administrative capability, as well as specific knowledge of legal processes. Produces various legal-specific correspondence and Duties include typing memoranda and other maintaining and updating files; answering telephones; preparing formal presentations and filings; tracking deadlines; maintaining calendars and appointments for the two attorneys in Outlook;
Qualifications
Required Skills: Accurate typing (minimum 65 wpm); highly proficient with Microsoft Office 2003 suite including Word, Excel and PowerPoint (knowledge of Visio, Hummingbird DM5 and Workshare Professional a plus); organizational and general office skills; skill in writing grammatically correct routine business correspondence; excellent attention to detail; ability to organize workload, manage and maintain multiple projects simultaneously within deadlines; ability to demonstrate good judgment; excellent interpersonal and communication skills; experience with internet based legal research a plus.
Desired Skills: Education minimum requirement high school diploma; business school or college preferred. Experience: Minimum experience is five years as an administrative assistant.
